15-05-2026 - Tree Surgeon

The Tree Surgeon will attend site on Saturday 16th May 2026. They will be working at the rear of Beech House on the main car park. Can residents that park on the main car park at the rear of Beech please use alternative parking on that day. The parking spaces outside Oak House are all visitors spaces.They are also attending Hunters Wood Court and Cedar House. Please be careful walking around those areas. Apologies for any inconvenience. 28-05-2025 - Pegging Clothes Out

To all tenants, this is to inform you that, in accordance with the terms of the lease agreement, the use of the communal gardens for pegging out washing or drying laundry is not permitted. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

07-04-2025 - Large Waste

This is a reminder to all residents....Please do not put large items into the bin store. The binmen will not take them away. Leaving the Management to pay a large cost for the items to be disposed of.

06-04-2025 - Gardening

This is to inform residents that we have a new Gardener starting tomorrow Monday 7th April 2025. Unfortunately James from Firbank Landscapes has finished gardening. We wish him all the best in his new venture and we would like to take this opportunity to thank him for all the hard work over the year's.

09-02-2024 - Rats

We are experiencing a RAT problem at Denham Wood Close. Can residents please make sure food waste is thrown away correctly and not left on the floors of the bin store. Also any residents that are feeding the birds with bread, nuts and seeds please STOP as this is attracting the RATS. Thank you.

24-02-2023 - Dog Dirt

Can residents with dogs please clean up after their dogs. My Gardener is finding a lot of dog dirt on the grass by Holly House. Please keep your dog on a lead when walking around the development. If the situation doesn't improve we will have to implement a NO DOGS Allowed Policy. Thank you.

24-02-2023 - Palm Trees

The Gardener is on the development today. He will be cutting down a lot of the Palm Trees around the car park on Denham Wood Close. The snow and cold weather has killed them off this year.

16-01-2023 - Jet Washing

Firbanks Landscapes will be carrying out some Jet Washing in the grounds of Denham Wood Close in the next couple of weeks. Can residents please take care when walking around Denham Wood Close as there will be waterpipes laid along the paths. Thank you.

25-04-2022 - Tree Surgeon

The Tree Surgeon will be on Denham Wood Close on 26.4.2022 pruning and topping some of the trees outside 1-6 Oak House and also the trees in between 1-4 Holly House and 1-4 Rowan House. If you park your car near these blocks of apartments can you please park them somewhere else through the day. This will help the Tree Surgeon gain access to these areas. 24-04-2022 - Dog Dirt

There is a dog owner that is letting their dog foul the garden next to Holly House. This is totally unacceptable behavior!! If anyone can inform JKA Property Management Ltd of the owners identity that would be really helpful. Thank you.

16-11-2021 - Dogs

We are experiencing a problem with dog feces on the grassed areas of the development. This behaviour is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Our Gardener got covered in dog feces when cutting the grass. Please as previously requested keep your dog on a lead at all times when walking in the development and pick up after the dog. Residents with a dog in their apartments should have written confirmation that this is acceptable from JKA Property Management Ltd, most of you haven't requested confirmation to have a dog in the apartments, in which case you are breaking the Terms of the Lease. The Management can and will implement the Lease to have your dog removed. Please get in touch with JKA Property Management Ltd to request approval for your dog to live in the apartment. Thank you

02-08-2021 - Gardner

Unfortunately our Gardener has to self isolate for 10 days as he has been in contact with someone who has covid symptoms. He will be back on site on the 10th August 2021. Can residents please dispose of all their general waste and recycling waste correctly as the Gardener will not be on site to tidy the bin stores. Thank you.

13-09-2020 - Wasp Nest

A wasp nest has been located at the rear of 10-16 Maple House. The Pest Control Company will be attending Maple House late on Monday afternoon (15.9.2020). Will residents please make sure all windows are closed after 4pm, for your safety. Thank you

08-06-2018 - Gardeners

The gardeners will be on site tomorrow Saturday 9.6.2018
They will be grass cutting & pruning a lot of the bushes. 

20-04-2018 - Alma Wood Close

Last week the gardeners finished off the stoning of the boarders. Enhancing the site even more. Both Denham Wood & Alma Wood are looking really well now Spring has finally arrived. 

16-10-2017 - Sycamore House Fencing

The new fencing has been erected at the rear of Sycamore House. As the remaining fencing decays it will be replaced with the same type of fencing, concrete posts and bases.
The new fencing was scheduled to be erected today Monday 16.10.2017. Unfortunately with the high winds that are forecast, the decision was taken to delay the work. This work will now be carried out tomorrow Tuesday 17.10.2017 weather permitting.

28-07-2017 - Tree Surgeon

The Tree Surgeon will be on site in a couple of weeks, we will post the date of Tree Felling on the Web Site and the Notice Boards in the Communal Hallways of each block of apartments. There are quite a few trees that need attention on the main car park at Denham Wood Close. Branches have now started to encroach on some of the buildings. There are a few apartments affected by the trees, as they have grown so thick that the trees are stopping natural light from entering some of the apartments. On the day of the Tree Felling some cars might have to be moved to another area of the car park.

02-06-2017 - Next time on site

The gardners will be on site on Monday 5th June. They will be pruning ,grass cutting and cleaning the bin store again

12-02-2016 - Upgrade complete

The planned programme to make the gardens as maintenance free yet retaining some colour and relied if complete.

Block 21-26 Alma Wood Close

One resident thinks it's ok to drop his rubbish on the floor of the bin store. Not nice! Now the consequences of this are that:

• It doesn't get moved by the bin men
• It doesn't get moved by other residents
• If we are unlucky it gets ripped open by a cat and detritus spreads everywhere
• We have to pay the gardener extra to clear it up
• SERVICE CHARGES GO UP AND THIS IS PASSED ON TO TENANTS

If this is you - please stop it for the benefit of all. If you know who this is or see it happening please report it to Jan.

All outstanding planting and maintenance issues will be complete in the next two weeks.

The final phase of stoning and mulching has been authorised so we are in good shape for the autumn.

10-09-2015 - Final Flourish

The gardeners finished the stoning of the flowerbeds on Denham Wood & Alma Wood yesterday. Some of the areas haven’t been stoned because the flowerbeds are surround with grass, these areas will be barked next week.

The gardeners are back on Monday 10th August to finish their work.

Alma Wood gardens will be treated to an upgrade staring 24th August and Denham Wood Close will be finished off that week too.

26-03-2014 - Stoning of the Borders

In the next couple of weeks the stoning of Denham Wood will be completed & attention will be turned to Alma Wood where a similar maintenance program will be carried out.

26-03-2014 - Fencing

There are a couple of broken fence panels behind Rowan House - these are in hand & will be replaced.
There is also a large section of fencing down on the car park of 2-7 Alma Wood this is not the Management Company's responsibility. I have reported the issue to the relevant Housing Association over 3 weeks ago.

13-12-2013 - Kitty!

Stop feeding the cats. Someone is leaving food outside 2-7 Alma and this is attracting more cats - and we know what happens then!

Please note that the large bin store and a small section of fence adjacent to 15 - 20 Alma Wood Close are to be replaced next week.

07-03-2013 - Poop!

Following a complaint from a resident at Alma Wood Close and the gardener (who has to clean his mower!!) I remind pet owners to clear up after their pets. The turfed areas are heavily soiled. May I remind you that it is a breach of local by-law to allow dog fouling.

26-02-2013 - Cedar House - Go Green!

There has been some difficulty in getting the recycling bins out on the pavement for collection. Can residents please look at this and put out/bring in whilst we negotiate a better solution with the Council.

12-01-2013 - Gardeners 2013

I am pleased to say that the new contractor has been on site this week and the initial work looks promising. Let us know if you see something that needs attention.

27-11-2012 - New contractor

We have ended the contract with the present contractor due to unsatisfactory work. We are reviewing the arrangements for 2013 and will publish such in due course.

19-07-2012 - Soil tests

Some recent planting has died and prior to further planting around Sycamore House we have asked for soil tests to be carried out to establish the cause. An update post will be made when we have the results.
