On Thursday 16.1.2025 Parr Fire will be attending Alma Wood Close & Denham Wood Close to carry out the Fire Risk Assessment. Please ensure that all personnel items are inside you're own apartment and there are no door mats or trip hazards on the landings. All communal Hallways should be clear of objects. 22-08-2024 - Fire Safety

Can residents please take care when cooking in the apartments, we have had a couple of incidents lately with a resident turning on a deep fat frier and then falling asleep, a fire was averted by a resident hearing her smoke alarm and waking her up. Also another resident turned on his oven then fell asleep, the oven caught fire as it was that dirty. Please take care when cooking or lighting candles in the apartments. Thank you.

01-12-2023 - Christmas Decorations

To Residents - Health & Safety -Christmas Decorations should only be put up in the communal hallways if they are made of fire proof materials. If any residents are planning on having a real Christmas Tree in their apartment you must make sure you dispose of it yourself's at the local tip. Please do not dispose of the tree in the bin store. Thank you

Information for residents - Sonic Fire & Security will be attending Denham Wood Close and Alma Wood Close to test the Fire Alarms, Smoke Detectors and the Emergency Lighting in all the communal hallways of the apartment blocks. If you hear the Fire Alarm for a short spell this will be a test. Thank you.

Parr Fire Group will be attending the blocks of apartments at Denham Wood Close and Alma Wood Close on Friday 23/6/2023 to service the fire extinguishers. Please can residents not taking the fire extinguishers off the wall and use them for doors stops. The fire extinguishers are there for your safety. Thank you.

The Fire Extinguishers received their annual check and maintenance last Friday 25.6.2021. Each block has been give a 12 month Certificate which has been pinned to the Noticeboards.

05-02-2021 - Neighbourhood Watch

One of our residents has set up the Neighbourhood Watch Scheme on Denham Wood Close. If resident want to report any issues to the Police they can email: alert@neighbourhoodalert.co.uk with any concerns regarding their own safety or the safety of other residents and the development, or ring 101 if you have concerned about anyone you think is breaking Covid Lock down rules on the development. 27-10-2020 - Sonic Fire

Sonic Fire will be attending site on Thursday 29.10.2020. They are testing the Emergency Lighting & replacing some bulbs. They are also teaching the Management how to test the Fire Alarms. If you hear a Fire Alarm noise the morning of 29.10.2020 it is only a test alarm. Thank you

Information-Sonic Fire & Security will be on site on Friday 25th February 2020. They will be replacing Emergency Lighting in some of the blocks at Denham Wood Close.

02-10-2019 - Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting

This is to inform residents that Sonic Fire and Security will be attending Alma Wood and Denham Wood Close tomorrow morning....3rd October 2019. 01-04-2019 - Persoal Belongings

Can owners and tenants please make sure that all personnel belongings are not left on the landings. (Prams, Bikes, Toys, footwear, plants etc) These items could interfere with you exiting the building in an emergency. Also there should be no door mats on the landings, so please remove these and place them inside your apartments. Thank you

Parr Fire Group are at Kingswood Court this morning carrying out inspections on all the Fire Extinguishers that are situated in the communal hallways. 

13-03-2018 - Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Test

Sonic Fire are on site this morning (13.3.2018), to test the Fire Alarms & Emergency Lighting, in all the communal hallways of each block. 

11-12-2017 - Alarm Testing

On Saturday 16.12.2017 Sonic Fire & Security will be carrying out routine maintenance to all the Fire Panels in the communal hallways of each block on Denham Wood Close. 

29-09-2017 - Sonic Fire

Sonic Fire attended Kingswood Court on Tuesday 26.9.2017. All the apartment blocks on Alma Wood & Denham Wood had the Fire Alarms/Smoke Alarms & Emergency Lighting tested. All are working fine.

14-10-2015 - Whose been smoking in my hall?

Several traces of smoking in the halls and landings has been reported with particular reference to you guys in 17 - 25 Maple House. Please note that smoking in the communal areas is NOT allowed - please respect for the benefit of all.

05-11-2013 - Communal Areas

We have noticed an increase in the storage of personal items on landings and corridors. This constitutes a breach of the emergency exit provisions.

Some time ago we did enforce a strict removal policy of bicycles, furniture, clothing and other aspects creating egress and trip hazards.

I am sure you all understand.

20-11-2012 - Bicyles and such stuff

Final warning to those who persist in parking their bikes (and whilst I am mentioning such things please include footwear, furniture etc.) in the common parts. These are deemend to block the fire exits and are NOT allowed. We may have to take steps to remove them. Please store these within your apartment.

20-11-2012 - Periodic check

All clear as a result of the regular test and inspection regime as of October 2012.

19-07-2012 - Periodic Test

Fire and Emergency Lighting systems have been tested this month as part of the usual maintenance programme. No issues to report.

Please note inspection and testing of all fire protection apparatus and procedures is being carried out today.
